This is a software program that is required if you want to get your files loaded on your Host's server. FTP is a protocol for transfering files between computers on the Internet. FTP stands for file transfer protocol.

    This protocol is an application protocol, because it uses TCP/IP to transfer its files. Commercial programs with a graphical user interface such as WS_FTP (the WS indicates that this is the Windows version of this software) can transfer files using FTP.

    There are 2 versions of this WS_FTP software available on this page for download. Pay close attention to the differences between each version of the software.

    WS_FTP Lite, which is the version I recommend that you start with, is a stripped down version of WS_FTP Pro. I do not believe that you will need all the bells and whistles included in WS_FTP Pro. A major advantage of WS_FTP Lite is that this is a Free version.

    Now, if you think you will want the full version bells and whistles WS_FTP Pro has to offer, then you can either download the 30 day trial version and upgrade to WS_FTP Pro later or you can download the full version now.     I did not find the free version before I purchased the Pro version and have not used the Lite version. Give the Lite version a chance to see how it works. It may save you $39.95. The ebook and the movie are on the Pro version, but I am sure they will work for the Lite version also.
